Grand Forks withdrew from the league on July 5, 1915, and did not return in 1916, leaving the circuit to reorganize around six teams. The Fargo-Moorhead Graingrowers, who had spent the season chasing Grand Forks and Superior out of the standings, went on to win the championship.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGrand Forks had a longer baseball history than the Flickertails' four years suggest. The Grand Forks Senators played in the semiprofessional Red River Valley League in 1897, and the Grand Forks Forkers played from 1902 through 1906.
