The cover of the club's 1946 program shows a fireman under a leather helmet, and this design takes its cue from it. The Chiefs played the 1946 and 1947 seasons in the Class B New England League at Cranston Stadium, which is why the papers sometimes called them the Cranston Chiefs.

The club opened as an independent, winning its first game 6-2 on May 8, 1946, and finished 64-60. For 1947 it signed on as a Cincinnati Reds farm club and went 57-66. After that season the fire chief was retired, and the club folded in June 1949, the last year of the league.

Retro Baseball Revival celebrates historic baseball teams with unique apparel, honoring their legacy and bringing history to one-of-a-kind clothing with our old school retro baseball tees from defunct Minor League Baseball teams.
