Bryan Bombers

The Bryan Bombers were a Class-C minor league baseball team that played in the Lone Star and East Texas Leagues in the late 1940s. The team played at Bomber Field, now know as Edible Field and home to the Brazos Valley Bombers. They attracted 2,000 fans to their first game against the Lufkin Foresters in April 1947. The success was short-lived, as the Lone Star league folded after only two seasons. The Bombers moved with a number of other teams to the East Texas League. The Bombers also changed their name to the sports in 1950, but after only 2 seasons in the East Texas League, the Bombers folded.

The most famous Bombers alum is Jo-Jo Moore, who was a 6 time All-Star and won the 1933 World Series with the New York Giants.
