Vintage West Virginia Shirts: Defunct West Virginia Baseball Teams

West Virginia baseball was coal and river baseball. The Mountain State League of the late 1930s fielded the Welch Miners, the Beckley Bengals, and the Williamson Red Birds in the southern coalfields, while the river cities held their own: Wheeling, whose Stogies took their name from the city's famous cigars, plus Charleston and Huntington along the Ohio and Kanawha.

Our vintage West Virginia shirts honor these defunct clubs with original designs grounded in real research.

Every team below links to its own collection, where you can read the full history and shop shirts, hoodies, and crewnecks for that club. Find your hometown team, or the one your grandfather used to talk about.
