The Carson City Capitals, based in Carson City, Nevada, played the 1907 season in the Nevada State League and remain the only professional baseball team the state capital has ever had.
The Capitals opened by scoring 14 runs in each of their first two games, beat champion Goldfield 2 to 1 on the Fourth of July, and finished 7-4-1, a half game out of first place. The league played a single season, linking Carson City and Reno with the mining boom camps of Goldfield and Tonopah.
