Dawson Springs Resorters

The Dawson Springs Resorters, from Dawson Springs, Kentucky, were a one-year entry in the Kitty League in 1916. The team played at Riverside Park (also known as Tradewater Park), which was originally built to host the Pittsburgh Pirates' spring training in 1914. The park was destroyed by a flood in the 1930s and rebuilt in 1999.

The Resorters got their name from Dawson Springs' popularity as a travel destination in the early 20th century, thanks to the mineral springs in the area. The team played only one season, and unfortunately the Kitty League folded in the middle of it. The Resorters were 33-41 and in fourth place when the league went under, and they did not return when the Kitty League started up again in 1922.
