Henderson, Kentucky, located across the river from Evansville, Indiana, fielded Kitty League teams intermittently in the early 20th century. Its first clubs were the Blue Birds (1903–1904), later renamed the Hens, who debuted in 1905 but folded mid-season with a 29–47 record. The Hens returned in 1911 when a team from McLeansboro, Illinois, relocated to Henderson, and they played five of the next six seasons until 1916. After the Kitty League folded that year, Henderson never rejoined, likely overshadowed by the stronger Class B teams in nearby Evansville.
