Kilgore Drillers

The Kilgore Drillers were a minor league baseball team in the late 1940s from Kilgore, Texas. They played in the Lone Star League for two seasons from 1947-48 and then in the East Texas League for two seasons, both of which were class D leagues. The team played at Driller Park, which is still in use today. The Drillers won the Lone Star League twice, and were a runner up in the East Texas League. The team folded in 1950 and the local community tried to bring back the team in 1953, but they only lasted one year before folding again.
