Marshall Tigers
The Marshall Tigers were a minor league baseball team from Marshall, Texas, during the 1940s. The town of Marshall fielded a minor league team in various Texas leagues during the first half of the 20th century, and the Tigers played from 1936-41 and again in 1948. They played mainly in the East Texas League but also in the Cotton States League and Lone Star League. Major leaguer Eddie Lopat pitched for the Tigers, and he went on to pitch almost 300 major league games.
