Portland Blue Sox

The Portland Blue Sox were a minor league team that played out of Portland, Maine, in the Maine State League during the 1907 and 1908 seasons. A second Blue Sox club was revived briefly in 1919 and played in the New England League.

In the Maine State League the Blue Sox were joined by fellow Portlanders, the Pine Tree Capers, and both teams played at Back Cove Park. In 1908 the Blue Sox led the league with a 32-20 record when the league folded.
