The Reno BlackJacks, based in Reno, Nevada, played the 1999 season in the independent Western Baseball League and were the last professional team to call Moana Stadium home. Rebranded from the Reno Chukars that spring, the club gave the Biggest Little City in the World a team named for the casino game.
First baseman Justin Drizos was the league's Most Valuable Player, and the 41-49 BlackJacks took the 63-27 Chico Heat to a deciding fifth game in the semifinals before losing 3 games to 2. After the season the club moved to Marysville, California, and Moana Stadium never hosted professional baseball again.
