Shelbyville Grays Baseball Team

Shelbyville Grays

The Shelbyville Grays were a minor league baseball team based in Shelbyville, Kentucky. They played in the Class D Blue Grass League from 1908 through the middle of the 1910 season. The team competed against other Kentucky-based clubs such as the Frankfort Statesmen, Lexington Colts, and Richmond Pioneers. The team wore the word 'Shelbys' on the front of the uniform or a stylized 'G'. In the 1910 season, a young Casey Stengel played for the Grays. During that season, the team would move to Maysville and become the Maysville Rivermen
