The Tonopah Mollycoddles, based in Tonopah, Nevada, played the 1907 season in the Nevada State League, the only professional baseball the silver camp ever hosted. A mollycoddle was slang of the day for a pampered, soft young man, an unlikely name for a club from a desert mining camp.
The Mollycoddles lost their first four games, then got better as the summer went on, twice beating the champion Goldfield Miners in July. The league played a single season, linking the boom camps of Tonopah and Goldfield with Carson City and Reno.
