Camden Riversharks
The Camden Riversharks were an independent minor league baseball team from 2001 to 2015. Based in Camden, New Jersey, they played at Campbell's Field, offering views of the Philadelphia skyline. The Riversharks won the South Division titles in 2003 and 2004, and reached the Championship Series in 2004, although they were swept by the Long Island Ducks. In 2005, the team posted a league-best 79–60 record, but missed the playoffs due to the league’s split-season format.
Notable players include Chris Widger, who played for the Riversharks in 2004 before winning a World Series with the Chicago White Sox in 2005, and José Morales, a former MLB catcher. After facing financial difficulties, the team ceased operations in 2015, but their legacy lives on through our retro baseball apparel celebrating the Riversharks' time in Camden, New Jersey.
