Huntington Bees

The Huntington Bees were a minor league baseball team from Huntington, WV. They played in the Mountain State League for a single season in 1938. The Mountain State League was a Class D league in the 1930s and 40s consisting of teams from West Virginia. In their single season, the Bees went 50-66 and finished last in the six-team league.

It's unclear if teams kept folding or just changing their name in Huntington, as the Mountain State League team from Huntington seemed to have a different name almost every year. The Bees were one of many teams in smaller towns and cities during this era, as Americans looked for recreational outlets and America's pastime swept the country.
