Nicholasville Nicks

The Nicholasville Nicks were a semi-pro team from Nicholasville, KY during the 1960s and 70s. They played other teams from the central Kentucky area such as the Flemingsburg Aces, Lexington Parkette Hustlers and teams from Lawrenceburg, Richmond, Paris, and Frankfort among others. In all the newspaper articles we've researched, we haven't seen a true nickname for the Nicholasville team (they are always just referred to as Nicholasville) but the above photo shows a player wearing a "Nicks" logo on their jersey, so it seems safe to say that was likely the team's nickname.
