Tyler Trojans
The Tyler Trojans were a long-running baseball team in the early part of the 20th century in Tyler, Texas. The Trojans played from 1924 through 1950 in a number of different minor leagues. They played mostly in the East Texas League, but also played in the Lone Star League, and West Dixie League in various years. The team were three-time East Texas League champions in 1924, 1938 and 1940. The Trojans held major league affiliations for much of their existence including with the New York Giants and Cincinnati Reds. They also produced a stalwart shortstop for the Reds in Roy McMillan. McMillan played over 2,000 major league games.
