Vintage Kentucky Shirts: Defunct Kentucky Baseball Teams

Kentucky was one of America's great small-town baseball states. From 1903 to 1955 the KITTY League fielded clubs in Owensboro, Paducah, Bowling Green, Hopkinsville, Mayfield, and Fulton, while the Blue Grass League brought professional baseball to Lexington, Frankfort, Paris, and Winchester in the early 1900s. Covington even held a Federal League franchise in 1913, one year before that league declared itself a major league. In the coal country of eastern Kentucky, the Mountain States League kept teams playing in Harlan, Hazard, and Ashland into the 1950s.

Nearly all of those Kentucky baseball teams are gone now, but their stories survive in box scores, newspaper archives, and the memories passed down in these towns. Our vintage Kentucky shirts honor them with original designs grounded in real research: the Owensboro Distillers and their barrel mascot, the Paris Bourbonites, the Princeton Infants, the Mayfield Clothiers, and dozens more.

Every team below links to its own collection, where you can read the full history and shop shirts, hoodies, and crewnecks for that club. Find your hometown team, or the one your grandfather used to talk about.
