Blue Grass League (Kentucky)

The Blue Grass League was a Class D minor league baseball circuit that operated in Kentucky during the early 20th century, with seasons in 1908–1912 and again in 1922–1924. The league featured small-town clubs from across central Kentucky, including the Lexington Colts, Winchester Hustlers, Paris Bourbonites, Paris Mammoths, Richmond Pioneers, Cynthiana Cobblers, Frankfort Lawmakers, and Mount Sterling Essex. While the league didn't last very long, the teams had really unique nicknames with local flavor for the towns and cities. One interesting fact too; Fred Toney of the Winchester Hustlers holds the record for longest no hitter at 17 innings. Toney blanked the Lexington Colts for 17 innings in 1909, and would go on to have a long major league career.

Today, fans of baseball history can celebrate this unique league with a collection of original designs that honour each of these defunct clubs. From the Paris Mammoths swinging a bat to the Mount Sterling Essex driving a vintage car, each team has been reimagined through stylized, retro baseball tees that capture the spirit of the old time baseball and the team's unique monikers. These baseball t-shirts are printed on high-quality shirts in the USA, making them perfect for gifts or anyone looking for unique baseball shirts that stand out. Whether you're revisiting Kentucky baseball history or looking for standout retro gear, the Blue Grass League collection offers a one-of-a-kind tribute to America’s pastime.
