The Augusta Live Oaks were a one-year wonder of the New England League, a minor league of the early 1900s. The Live Oaks played the 1901 season as their only season in baseball, but left us with a great nickname. The team was not very successful and moved to Lynn, Massachusetts, during the season before folding.
