The Tyler Trojans were a long-running team in the early 20th century in Tyler, Texas, playing from 1924 through 1950 in a number of different minor leagues. They played mostly in the East Texas League but also spent various years in the Lone Star League and the West Dixie League. The Trojans were three-time East Texas League champions, in 1924, 1938, and 1940, and held major league affiliations for much of their existence, including with the New York Giants and Cincinnati Reds. They produced a stalwart shortstop for the Reds in Roy McMillan, who played over 2,000 major league games.
