The Huntington Aces were a minor league team from Huntington, West Virginia, that played in the Mountain State League for the 1941 and 1942 seasons. The Mountain State League was a Class D league of the 1930s and 40s made up of teams from West Virginia. The Aces weren't very successful, finishing last in the six-team league both seasons. It's unclear whether Huntington's teams kept folding or just kept changing their name, as the city's Mountain State League club seemed to have a different name almost every year. We do know that the Aces rebranded as the Jewels for 1943 after a contest to name the team, the Jewels name referring to Huntington as the jewel city of the Ohio Valley.
