Fulton, Kentucky, was home to a number of Kitty League (Kentucky-Illinois-Tennessee) teams over the years, and they seemed to change their name almost yearly. When the league resumed play after World War II in 1946, Fulton used the Bulldogs name. A year later they changed to the Chicks, then the Railroaders, and in 1952 the team settled on Lookouts.
For four seasons the Lookouts played at Fairfield Park in Fulton as a Washington Senators affiliate. They were quite successful on the field, winning the league pennant in 1952 and 1953, but were unable to capture a playoff title in either year, losing to the Union City (Tennessee) Greyhounds in 1952 and the Paducah Chiefs in the 1953 final. Following the 1955 season the Kitty League folded, and the Lookouts with it. Fulton has not hosted minor league ball since, although a summer collegiate team there has revived the Fulton Railroaders name.
