The Moline Plowboys, from Moline, Illinois, were an early 20th-century team that played in the Three-I League (the Illinois-Indiana-Iowa League) and the Mississippi Valley League for a combined 22 seasons. The franchise arrived in Moline from Danville, Illinois, where it had been the Danville Speakers, during the 1914 season, and played its first full season as the Plowboys in 1915.

In 1916 the Plowboys won the league as second-half champions, defeating the Davenport Blue Sox in six games in the final. They repeated as champions in 1922, then moved to the Mississippi Valley League in 1924, a Class D circuit and a step down from the Class B Three-I. In 1937 they moved back to the Three-I and immediately won the league, defeating the Clinton Owls in the final. The Plowboys folded in 1941.

The team's name comes from Moline's tractor industry, which was booming at the time and continues today, as Moline is the headquarters of John Deere.

The Three-I League (the Illinois-Indiana-Iowa League) was a Class B circuit that ran from 1901 through 1961, with pauses for World War I, the Great Depression, and World War II. Though rooted primarily in Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa, the league also drew clubs from Missouri, Wisconsin, Kansas, Nebraska, and Minnesota as its core membership contracted in later years. In the late 1800s and first half of the 1900s, teams existed in thousands of small towns across the United States, as Americans looked for recreational activities and entertainment in the era before TV.
