The Nicholasville Nicks were a semi-pro team from Nicholasville, Kentucky, during the 1960s and 70s. They played other teams from the central Kentucky area such as the Flemingsburg Aces, the Lexington Parkette Hustlers, and teams from Lawrenceburg, Richmond, Paris, and Frankfort, among others. In all the newspaper articles we've researched we haven't seen a true nickname for the Nicholasville team (they are always referred to simply as Nicholasville), but a period photo shows a player wearing a Nicks logo on his jersey, so it seems safe to say that was the team's nickname.
