The Jacksonville Jacks, based in Jacksonville, Illinois, played one season in the KITTY League in 1906, finishing 67–58 before the league folded. Their name referenced the city’s role as a railroad hub in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The Jacks briefly resurfaced in 1910 in the Northern Association, a league that folded mid-season, the same year Casey Stengel debuted against them. Later that summer, the Beardstown Infants moved to Jacksonville and also played as the Jacks, but they too folded before the season ended.
