The Moline Plowboys were a minor league baseball team from Moline that played 22 seasons between the Three-I League and the Mississippi Valley League from 1915-1941. Originally relocating from Danville as the Danville Speakers, the Plowboys won league championships in 1916, 1922, and 1937 before folding in 1941. Their nickname reflected Moline’s booming tractor industry and its connection to John Deere, which remains headquartered there today.
