Charleston, West Virginia, carried the Senators name on and off from 1910 to 1960, from the Virginia Valley and Mountain States leagues of the 1910s up to Triple-A in the American Association, with Watt Powell Park as home from 1948 on.
Joe Nuxhall pitched here in 1949, five years after his major league debut at 15, and Hall of Famer Jim Kaat was a 21-year-old on the 1960 staff. The name ended after 1960 when the club became the Charleston Indians.
