The Lodge & Shipley Baseball Club was a top amateur team in Cincinnati’s Brendamour Saturday League during the 1910s, sponsored by the Lodge & Shipley machine tooling company. They won the league in 1912 and challenged American Tool Works, champions of the M&M League, for a local title. Several players, including Jake Vatter, went on to play minor league baseball with teams like the Paducah Chiefs and Jonesboro Zebras.
