The Lufkin Foresters were a minor league team from Lufkin, Texas, in the Class D East Texas League starting in 1946. The team then moved to the Lone Star League for a couple of seasons before folding. The name comes from the timber industry that boomed in Lufkin in the late 1800s and from the town's location between the Davy Crockett and Angelina national forests.
