The Nacogdoches Cogs were a one-year wonder of the East Texas League in 1916. The name is a play on the "cog" in Nacogdoches, and they are the only known pro baseball team from Nacogdoches. The East Texas League ran for nearly forty years, from 1916 to 1950, but the first season was a rough one: the league ended the 1916 season in mid-July due to low attendance, and some of the teams, including the Cogs, folded and did not return for 1917. The Cogs still have one of the better minor league team names around.

Our premium lightweight shirts are the hugely popular Bella+Canvas brand 3001 tees. They are much lighter and thinner feeling than a traditional heavyweight tee. They also are more form fitting and feel more snug. These are generally 90% to 100% cotton, although please note that heather colors in this item are 52% cotton.
