The Sherman-Denison Twins were a minor league team that played in a number of different leagues during the 1940s and 50s. The Twins played in the East Texas League in 1946, moved to the Big State League the following year and stayed through 1951, and finally played in the Sooner State League in 1953. The Twins won the Big State League in 1948 under manager Jose Rodriguez, who had played for the New York Giants and was inducted into the Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame in 1951.
